Hello everyone,

 Welcome to my blog.

Today I will be reflecting and describing what I have learnt this wee in Introduction to Entrepreneurship. The material living life as an hero thought me that to begin my journey as an entrepreneur, I have to firstly dream big, according to Daniel Burnham, " Make no small plans, for they have no power to stir the blood'. In order words, to start I have to dream big and not small, i have to picture myself going big in future. Secondly, all epic journey and all paths to mastery begin with a first step, that means I have to take a step to start and I should not be scared of taking the first step.

There are some difficulties I'm going to face while trying to start but I will have to accept that life is hard and seldom fair, persevere from difficult decisions to habits to character to destiny, I will get to chose but I'm not in control and that I should choose my fellow traveller. Then I  should ask if it would be worth it at the end. I should ask questions like,

 Did i accomplish something meaningful?

Was I a good person?

Who did I love and who loved me?

In the introduction to Entrepreneurship material, I learnt that living a life of meaning is about living life with intent and about deeply knowing myself. The course will help me know my strength, passion and my dark side. It will help me blueprint extraordinary things about me. I have four big goals

  1. To discover an entrepreneurial calling, the start-up of me
  2. To choose constructive habits and to deeply etch them onto my character
  3. To select my next steppingstone job or begin my entrepreneur career
  4. To embrace disciple leadership by examining the ministry of business
I learnt that to start up, i have to take intelligent risk because of every career moves contain risk. I have to learn how to accurately assess the level of risk in a situation. I learnt that risk may be personal or situational in the sense that what is risky to me might not be risky to another person. If the worst case scenario is death or something really bad, it is better to avoid it, if it is not then I can be open to it. If I can change or reverse the decision half way then it is a low risk and unknown situation is is risk.

Who I know is what I know, in the sense that I get the intelligence i need to make good career decisions by talking in my network and people who will help me understand my assets, aspirations and market realities. People I know are those who will help me track the risk attached to a given opportunity. It helps me gain network intelligence. So i have decided to start tapping into my network, and I should start investing in skills and I should start taking intelligent risk. I want to start planning my career and adapting the rules.

I learnt a lot this week and I hope to learn more next week. Thank you for reading and I hope you were able to learn something?
